Dear Students and Families,

Hello! I am Amy Cook, and I am so excited to be the 2nd grade ELAR teacher. Our second grade team is so excited to have all of our kiddos back and look forward to an amazing year!

This is my third year teaching in Mildred ISD. I came from Northwest ISD which is out in the Fort Worth/Keller area. There I taught 4th grade for one year, 2nd grade for one year and 1st grade for over five years.

My husband and I have been married for 19 years and have two daughters here in Mildred. My daughter, Alex, is 15 years old and attends Mildred High School.  Cameryne is 7 and will be in second grade, here with me. We are all so excited to be in Mildred together. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of North Texas. I taught for three years before staying home with my oldest daughter and then returned to the classroom when she was in pre-k. I continued to teach with her at my school until the end of her 5th grade year. I also stayed home for two years with Cameryne while we were moving and getting situated here in Mildred.

I am extremely excited to be back in 2nd grade. I look forward to meeting you and your families.
